Grandhi Varalakshmi Venkata Rao Institute of Technology (GVIT), was established in 2008 by NRIs Mr.Suresh Grandhi and Mrs. Swapna Grandhi from Atlanta USA. GVIT is located at Tundurru in Bhimavaram mandal of West Godavari district. This college has fully developed infrastructure facilities with a built-up area of 1,60,000 sq. ft.

Library:

The College Central Library is to facilitate the creation of new knowledge through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge resources and by providing value-added services. All students, faculty members, and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities by taking a library membership college has a Central Library with a collection of over 11815 Volumes, No. of titles - 1748, National Journals-31, various IEEE magazines and journals, and fully equipped computers with internet.

Sports:

GVIT gives importance to sports and athletics along with the curriculum. Table Tennis camps are conducted every year for the students with a SAAP coach.GVIT has been conducting Week Long Table Tennis coaching camps twice a year.GVIT students are also participating in other sports like Cricket, volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Hockey, Weight Lifting, Body Building, etc.

Hostels:

Hostels for boys and girls with all amenities have been provided by the college. Both the hostels have spacious rooms and Mess halls.

Separate facilities for studying are provided in both hostels. The girl hostel and boy hostel can accommodate 100 inmates each.

Grandhi Varalakshmi Venkata Rao Institute of Technology Admission

Diploma Admissions are done based on the Common Entrance Test (CEEP) conducted by Andhra Pradesh Technical Education. Category A Seats are admitted based on the Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). Category B Seats are admitted based on the merit criteria defined by APSCHE.
