Greenwood College of Education, Karnal was established in 2006 under the Greenwood Group of Institutions. It is one of the premier institutions established under the management of Jaideep Shiksha Utthan Samiti, to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress. The college is affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, and State Council Of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Gurgaon. It was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a "B" Grade - (CGPA Score of 2.37 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 21st February 2014. It is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education, Jaipur to offer a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) & Diploma in Education (D.Ed.). The institute offers a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university and are eligible to apply for this course. Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
