Guru Nanak Dev University established its Regional campus at Jalandhar in 1979 with English, Punjabi, and Law departments. Later, the Department of Journalism was added in the year 1995. To meet the demands in technical education and research, the campus got its own sprawling and beautiful campus with the addition of three prestigious professional courses i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics &Communication Engineering, and School of Legal Studies in 2002. Since its inception, all these departments have been imparting quality education with the main aim to produce indispensable and employable manpower.

The College IT block library caters to the needs of our students from the disciplines of Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering as well as Punjabi. This Wi-Fi-enabled four-storied modern high-tech facility accommodates more than 30,000 books, 14 journals and magazines, and 18 national and local newspapers. The library comes with a separate book bank for SC/ST students. Our library has also got membership in INFLIBNET, UGC INFONET Digital Library Consortium which provides access to 7500+ e-journals, books, and databases. The library has more than 2500 Textbooks, and reference books related to Computer Science, Electronics, Punjabi, and English Subjects.
