Recognization & Accreditations- Guru Nanak Dev University
Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) accreditation from NAAC ‘Grade A’ and approved by UGC. Ranked 85th in the absolute category by NIRF 2021. GNDU is continuously improved its NIRF ranking for consecutive last four consecutive years by securing the 51st position in the NIRF ranking in 2020.GNDU increased its H-index from 63rd position in 2017 to 107th position in 2020. The WEEK Hansa Research Best University 2019 survey placed Guru Nanak Dev University in 7th place among multidisciplinary Universities in the North Zone and 14th place among all Multidisciplinary Universities in India. GNDU took 11th place among Indian state universities in the "India Today Ranking2020". GNDU ranked 17th in India, announced to the India Today (MDRA) survey 2019.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is a government organization in India that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions. It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission and headquartered in Bangalore.
As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval.
