Guruvayurappan Institute of Management was established in the year 1995.GIM strives to position its young managers as effective leaders in the global corporate arena. While basic knowledge is imparted, through core courses and the various electives that span four semesters managerial skills are also developed. GIM has been awarded ISO 9001: 2015 Certification for its quality in performance and delivery through a series of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.

Campus:

Guruvayurappan Institute of Management is situated at Navakkarai, a small township approximately 18 km off Coimbatore and 30 km off Palakkad close to the Coimbatore-Palakkad highway. With lush farms and coconut groves forming a vibrant and serene backdrop, the extensive GIM campus is a picturesque and learning-friendly environment. Today, GIM is functioning on an 11-acre campus with excellent facilities, exclusively for the MBA Programme. The proximity of GIM to the industrial areas of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and Kanjikode, Palakkad in Kerala ensures ample access and opportunity for field research and practical training

Library:

The GIM LIBRARY is the principal provider of scholarly information resources to the campus community. We work with faculty and students in the discovery, use, and management of information that supports their research, teaching, and learning.

With this desired future in mind, the Library ensures that its collections remain forward-looking, diverse in breadth and form, open to browsing, and of renowned quality. We ensure that all users are aware of the resources available to them and make access to these resources easier. To serve the needs of future users, the Library preserves information in formats that are widely used and ensures effective storage and retrieval systems are in place. The Library’s physical and virtual spaces respond to the changing habits of its users to enrich the campus experience. The Library’s collaboration with expanding circles of partners yields unified access, broadening knowledge, and enhanced services.

Computer Lab:

Information Technology is no longer an innovation as it has become an integral ingredient for the success of business organizations. GIM has a state-of-the-art laboratory with adequate hardware and software to facilitate the students to improve their skills. Computer skills are imparted to all the students through training in various software packages. The Lab is equipped with 120 systems and has 24-hour access to the internet with broadband connectivity. The lab remains open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm

Sports Facilities:

GIM campus has a well-maintained Volley Ball Court, Cricket Court, and Foot Ball Field to facilitate the students with outdoor games. Facilities of indoor games are also available which include table tennis, caroms, chess, etc.

The Sports Committee consists of student representatives and Faculty to monitor the activities of the Sports Club.

Hostel:

GIM hostels are well equipped and regularly monitored for infrastructure arrangement, security, WIFI connectivity, and convenience to all the students so that they have a free and safe environment for learning and self-development.

Boys Hostel:

Known as ‘Hill View’, the Men’s Hostel is located within the Campus, barely five minutes walk away from the Academic block. Executive style rooms, twin/triple sharing basis are available. Each room is self-contained with attached toilets/bathrooms. Care is ensured to minimize power outages in the hostel with the help of power generators. Water coolers are provided on all the Floors. Also, recreation facilities, 24 hours security, housekeeping, and regular maintenance are provided to the residents.

Girls Hostel:

The Women’s Hostel, known as ‘Gems Hostel’ is located adjacent to the Academic block, in an independent compound within the GIM campus. 24 hours power and water supply is made available. 24 hours security service is also provided. Twin/triple sharing rooms each of executive style design provides the right ambiance for girls to experience a home away from home lifestyle. A WIFI facility is available. Adequate arrangement for housekeeping is also provided.

Cafeteria:

GIM operates an exquisite cafeteria for the Students, Faculty, and Staff of the Institute. The cafeteria offers Students, Faculty, and Staff breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a very hygienic environment. The menu is prepared by the Committee considering Student representatives, Faculty, Administration, and Chef.
