Gyani Inder Singh Institute of Professional Studies is popularly known for being the best in Pharmacy College of Dehradun (UK), established in the year 2004 and managed by Gyani Inder Singh Human Development and Educational Society. It is duly registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, as a Sikh Minority Society. Its members are professionals and highly educated from India and abroad. The Institute is approved by AICTE, PCI New Delhi and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun, Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTE), Roorkee, and is a pioneer in its class of offering D.Pharm, B.Pharm & M.Pharm courses.

Scholarship

A student obtaining a position in the first two rankings in different courses in the university semester examination or board examination shall be awarded a merit scholarship through Gyani Inder Singh Human Development and Educational Society.

The library serves as a backbone to all academic activities, More than 8500 volumes of books, and 2500 Titles are being provided. A number of academic journals, research reports, scientific magazines, audio, video, and CDROMs are also available additionally.

Pharmaceutical Laboratories are properly tuned for training students in the different disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences. Students are preparing and performing the given method for formulating drugs in different dosage forms e.g. Tablets, Capsules, Parenterals, Ointments, Creams, Gel, Eye drops, Syrups, etc.

Central Instrumentation Room

The latest equipment is in place for better understanding and handling of students. Worth to mention that the Central instrumentation facility of GISIPS, Dehradun are in order to satisfy the analytical need of all departments.

Computer Laboratory

The purpose of a language lab is to get involved students for their active participation in language learning exercises. The computer laboratory is equipped with internet access along with the latest software. Pentium IV machines are adequately matched and supported by a host of printers, scanners, modems, and other peripherals.

The College has a well-maintained Medicinal Herbal Plant Garden with more than one hundred species of medicinal plants.

Anti Ragging Cell

The Institution offers protection to the new entrants from the menace of ragging. Anti Ragging Cell and Anti Ragging Squad are operational round the clock on the campus. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.

Anti Ragging Cell's prime responsibility is to monitor and coordinate anti-ragging campaigns and to further ensure a sound academic climate. The college is constantly involved in organizing workshops on awareness of ragging and anti-ragging.

CCTV

College is in complete CCTV surveillance for maintaining discipline on campus.

Transportation Facility

Regular bus facility is being provided to staff and students. The institute is also well connected by state transport buses in the periphery.

Hostel

Students are provided with spacious twin-sharing rooms, proper mess facilities, medical facilities, sports facilities, wifi, by an active safety service through an adequate number of security guards followed by CCTV surveillance throughout the hostel premises for boys and girls separately.

All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light with all needful facilities, excellent hygienic and well-furnished visiting room. A well-dedicated warden is being provided to monitor the day-to-day management of the hostels.
