H.A.L. College of Science & Commerce established in 1986 by the Gokhale Education Society, imparts quality education in the field of Computer Science and Commerce. The college is supported by one of the premier organizations in the country – Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The HAL management has provided up-to-date infrastructure for classrooms, offices, libraries, laboratories, and playgrounds to facilitate the Teaching-Learning process. The college offers the following Graduate and Post Graduate degree courses affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (Formerly University of Pune).

Infrastructure and Facilities

The college is supported by one of the premier organizations in the country – Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The HAL management has provided up-to-date infrastructure for Class Rooms, Well Equipped State of Art Laboratories with the latest configuration Computers 70 nos., an Electronics Laboratory, a Commerce Laboratory, well furnished and fully computerized Library with sufficient no. of Books, Reference Books, Newspapers, Periodicals, CDs and Magazines, etc. The College Building area is near about 14000 sq. ft. with a playground and Stadium complex ground facility provided by HAL Management.

Sports:

There are umpteen recreational & sports facilities accessible to our college students on campus. The spacious H.A.L. stadium for outdoor events, the community hall for indoor events, and the swimming pool at the club are being permitted by H.A.L. authorities for the use of our college sports enthusiasts. College Gymkhana has been organizing intercollegiate CRICKET, FOOTBALL, and VOLLEYBALL matches in the Nashik district. Every year gymkhana organizes 6 team events, 10 athletics events, and 3 indoor game events.

Auditorium:

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

Library:

College Library has a good collection of books (Text & References), periodicals, journals, weeklies, and CDs to cater to the vast academic demands of the students. The library is attached to separate reading rooms for students and staff. The library has an open-access system and is fully computerized.

Laboratories:

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

Medical Facilities:

The first-aid service is made available in the college & future, medical service is available at HAL hospital at a distance of about 80 meters from the college.

I.T Infrastructure:

The college has two very well equipped computer laboratories with 32 latest computers in each. Machines in each laboratory are networked using Windows XP & Linux Operating system servers are loaded with all the required software like MS Office, Visual Studio, Advance Java, Oracle, Crystal report writer, Internet facilities & other utilities. The electronics & statistics laboratories are sufficiently equipped with the instruments required for conducting the practical.
