Harkisan Mehta Foundation Institute of Media, Research and Analysis, Mumbai, Maharashtra was founded in memory of Harkisan Mehta to train students in a subject not only in English but also in regional languages like Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati. The main objectives are to provide the best training in Journalism and Mass Communication.

The official full name of our Harkisan Mehta Institute of Media, Research and Analysis (called HMMRA for short) is the only private institute among the SVKM (Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal) family of institutes. HMMRA was founded by the famous Gujarati author and Editor Late Shri Harkisan Mehta in the year 1990. At Harkisan Mehta Institute (HMMRA), we conduct several types of courses like Diploma Certificates, Undergraduate diplomas (UG Diplomas), and Post-Graduate diplomas (PG Diplomas). Since then, the institute has been training media professionals in various disciplines and getting them job-ready at the end of the course.

All media courses are designed by the top-most industry experts and are taught by them too. We also revise our syllabus every six months, something that no other media institute in India does.
