The Library of Heramba Chandra College encourages knowledge dissemination among the learning fraternity of the College supporting the vision and mission of the College. It aids to increase the consciousness of acquiring the necessary information to excel in the field of Higher Education. The learners are made aware of the books, periodicals, references, etc. of their respective subjects. The Library helps the learners to gather multi-faceted information and knowledge concerning their field of study through physical and electronic resources. The Library has two parts : (i) Heramba Chandra College Central Library, and (ii) Heramba Chandra College Seminar Library. Both of the Libraries are equipped with a diversified collection of subject-based resources including the acquisition of ~40,000 books with their various updated ramifications to meet the quest for knowledge of their uses.
Computer Lab:
The College has its own Computer Centre named after distinguished educationist and founder of this college Arun Sen - Arun Sen Computer Information Institute (ASCII). It started its journey on March 27, 1993, initially by a commercial institute offering certificate courses. Later on, as Information Technology (IT) has been introduced as a paper in the Calcutta University Curriculum of Commerce stream, the space is utilized by our B.Com second-year students extensively. At present, we have again introduced computer training programs for the willing students of all departments by Tally India in collaboration with our college before and after the scheduled IT classes of B.Com students. Even the teachers and non-teaching staff of the college can avail the infrastructure to have basic computer training.
Canteen:
The college has a spacious canteen. It is also a favorite adda zone of the students during breaks. Teachers, non-teaching staff and students enjoy the facilities of the canteen. It provides healthy food at reasonable prices.
