The quality of the hostel is an essential part of academic success. HIT provides National standard on-campus separate hostels for both boys and girls with excellent amenities for the comfortable living of the students. HIT follows a system to provide lodging and boarding to all students. Students will be allotted accommodation on a first-come-first-serve basis. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls inside the college campus. Outside the campus college bus is available. HIT has its 400 seated boy’s hostel and 200-seated girl’s hostel on campus. The hostels are provided with 24 hour water supply, uninterrupted power supply, internet facilities, TV, Telephone, Refrigerator, Aquaguard, Magazines, Newspapers, indoor games, and a fast-aid facility for the students. The hostel also has a 24/7 common room, library, and reading room where the students can interact with each other which is very much essential for professional education. Food in the hostel is served in the mess. Both non-vegetarian & vegetarian food is available on the basis of the requirements of the students. Good hygienic condition is strictly maintained both in the food and living conditions. Hostel superintendents supervise the functioning of the Hostels regularly. The hostel fees are as per the guidelines of the state Govt. of Orissa.

Information is the most important input in the making of intellectuals. Recognizing the potential of the library in providing information services to meet the requirements of the student’s academic and research programs as well as to cater to the teaching fraternity, the library was set up as one of the key divisions of the Hi-Tech Institute of Technology in 2008. Since then it is acting as the main information and learning resource center of the college. The library has been built to maintain unique standards. Specialized collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, and Social Sciences. A well-furnished and fully digitalized computerized library, with a rich collection of books and periodicals, caters to the needs of the students and faculty members. The library has a collection of over 3,000 titles and 25,000 volumes. The library provides information services like current awareness services, selective dissemination of information services, reference services, bibliographic services, etc.

The primary goals of the computer labs and classrooms are to provide assistance to students that will enhance their chances of succeeding in technology-based classroom assignments and to provide access to equipment that will support the needs of instruction where we celebrate life-long learning. The facilities include 350 Intel dual Core computers, running on operating systems, namely Windows XP, Windows 7, Unix, and Linux, and housed in six large air-conditioned laboratories. Through LAN, Linux, and Windows NT servers connect all the computers. Internet connectivity through a 4 MBPS leased line under the aegis of BSNL. The students and faculty members obtain materials for study and information. The latest versions of Oracle 11g, MS Office, MATLAB, AUTOCAD, Xilinx, Visual Paradigm, Visual Studio 2010, Turbo C++ and Java are available for use. Much more software in the pipeline.

The safety of our students is our prime concern. Thus, our transport facility is fully equipped to provide the safest & the most convenient transport solution. The college provides excellent transportation facilities with a fleet of buses separately for students and staff. Transportation focuses on accessibility rather than mobility and Hi-Tech Group provides a wide range of transportation facilities. We covered the entire route through our bus system. The college is situated near the NH5 through which students get much more facilities from the college. These buses bring the students and staff to the campus in the morning before the commencement of the classwork and return back after the completion of the classwork.

HIT is equipped with a modern canteen that is operated by the management. It provides the students and the faculty with nutritious and hygienic vegetarian food. Snacks and soft drinks are also available. Modern cooking equipment that includes steam boilers for rice and vegetables has been installed with the aim of providing wholesome food. The college canteen has the capacity to accommodate almost 400 students at any time. Both North Indian and South Indian dishes are served on the daily menu for the hoteliers. Day scholars can benefit from an annual concession scheme or opt for a token scheme that is issued on a day-to-day basis.
