Himalayan Institute of Technology (HIT) was established on an auspicious moment day in the year 2001. Since then the HIT has grown impressively and aggressively and has achieved exemplary recognition from the corporate, academic, and professional world. This was possible only because of our focus and commitment to a strong value system. With facilities that are geared towards the holistic growth of the students, HIT empowers its students with real knowledge that is demanded by the corporate world.
Today, HIT has established and patronized 3 prestigious Educational Institutions, which have grown to the stature of being accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification by the International Certification Services.
In establishing HIT, the founder members envisioned that HIT would not be a single location Educational Institute only, but a network of several Educational Institute campuses that would provide Quality Education in different parts. As a result HIT Group is running the following 3 Educational Institutes on 3 Different campuses.

Himalayan Institute of Technology (HIT) courses are offered at various levels like Diploma Degrees i.e. Diploma in Hotel Management, etc. Undergraduate Degrees i.e.Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. IT) Information Technology, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. PCM), etc. Post-Graduate Degrees i.e. Master of Science (M.Sc.) Information Technology, Master of Science (M.Sc. Ag.) Infrastructure and Facilities

Hostel:

The Institute provides separate Hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostel and mess facilities provide a comfortable stay and hygienic food to the hostellers. The hostels are located in the close vicinity of the institute. A home away from home is the concept of hostels in HIT. Separate hostels are provided for both boys and girls. Clean and airy, the rooms offer beds, wardrobes, and study tables and chairs. A well-maintained, hygienic Mess facility is available. HIT provides students with a comfortable environment to live in. However, students are also free to make their own arrangements they desire.

Auditorium:

At HIT learning is not restricted just to the classroom. It is also internalized in the institute’s elegant auditorium, through various co-curricular activities, that form the core of student life. It’s on this dais that the latent talent of the students blooms by way of developing a sense of competitiveness, team spirit, leadership & creativity. The state-of-the-art auditorium is equipped with sophisticated modern equipment. It provides the right environment for holding seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and guest lectures

Library:

The Library plays a vital role in providing and nurturing young minds. It aids in learning and teaching activities. The aim of the library is to serve the needs of students. The library is a source of knowledge and wisdom. The library has a vast collection of books. Besides, there are several national and international journals, periodicals, project reports, case studies, educational CDs, videos, etc. A regular and constant approach is maintained toward the enrichment of the collection of books from time to time.

Sports:

With the belief "A Healthy mind in a healthy body", HIT forays into the sports arena. All facilities are available for sports. There is a Sports Department, functioning to ensure the needs of sports activities of all the Institutes in our educational campus. HIT has excellent recreational facilities for sports including Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, and Hockey. The College participates in most of the games, sports, and tournaments conducted by the University and has participated in many tournaments inside and outside Dehradun and has won many prizes. The students are guided by Professional coaches.

Cafeteria:

This is a place to rejuvenate tired spirits through lip-smacking delicacies. The cafeteria provides much-needed appetizer breaks in a cozy atmosphere. Healthy and hygienic meals are available in the institute cafeteria. The cafeteria services are available round the clock at highly reasonable prices with a smile. In order to satisfy the appetites of the students and to give them a break after a day's hard work, the institute campus is provided with a relaxing and comfortable cafeteria.

Transportation:

HIT provides Transportation facilities for Students to various main locations of the City. The college has its own fleet of buses and vans that ply to and from various vantage points in the city. It is to facilitate easy travel for the students residing outside the college campus. The buses travel through the city and suburbs; routes are planned properly to be punctual and convenient for students. The students intending to avail of the transport facility need to inform the officer at the time of admission.

Smart Classroom:

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Institute has limited seats in each and every course as per University and Govt. norms. Admission in HIT for all the courses is on the basis of merit of class 12th marks and personal interview. Students will have to confirm their admission by submitting the fees.
