Hindusthan College of Arts & Science ( HICAS ) was started by Hindusthan Educational & Charitable Trust in 1998 with the primary objective of providing quality education for all students irrespective of caste and creed. Infrastructure and Facilities

The college is situated at the heart of the city in a sprawling eco-friendly campus of 17.11 acres, with a built-in area of 7,03,745 sq. ft consisting of  Six academic blocks (Block A to F) which have elevators, 182 spacious well-ventilated classrooms, and 50 laboratories. The Campus is also facilitated with a well-stocked library, administrative offices, a Principal’s office, a guest room, 8 seminar halls, 1 Indoor auditorium, 1 Outdoor auditorium, staff rooms, and hostels for boys and girls. A purified drinking water facility is provided on each floor. 

Library:

The central library of the college functions in a networked environment managed by a Library Management System (LMS) to support its various operations and services. It has a collection of 50559 books and subscribes to 123 national and international journals and CDs/DVDs. The College subscribes to online resources like Inflibnet, Delnet, National Digital Library, and Swayam Prabha. The library has an audio-visual facility, a photocopying facility, an air-conditioned seminar hall, and a digital library.

Classrooms:

The College has 182 enabled classrooms which are provided with 105  LCD projectors and 20 interactive boards for the teaching-learning process. 

Computer lab:

The College has 21 computer laboratories with 1488 computers with the needed software and a leased line of 500 Mbps which provides WIFI internet access. 

Transport:

The College operates a fleet of buses to support the requirements of students and faculty members from different parts of the city and villages in Coimbatore and neighboring parts of Kerala state. Parking facilities are provided for students and faculty members separately.

Electronics Lab:

The Department of Electronics is equipped with the latest gadgets and devices in their labs for Embedded systems, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI design, Microwave and Optical Communication, IOT, and Circuit Simulation.

Hotel Management Lab:

The Department of Catering Technology and Hotel Management is equipped with a modernized training kitchen, an air-conditioned restaurant & bar, a front office, a model housekeeping lab, Bakery, and a Confectionary lab to enable the students to have personalized training.
