Holy Cross College of Nursing is attached to Holy Cross Hospital, Kottayam. The institute aims at developing women through nursing education by upholding Catholic doctrines. The College is recognized by INC, Government of Kerala, KNC, and was affiliated to the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram in 2002. It was affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, during the year 2009. It started to be viable with full function from the very beginning with curricular and co-curricular activities under the expert leadership of Sr. M. Consolata Pampackal first Principal and Sr. Fatima Puthenthoppil second principal. At present, Sr. Doris Mookanamparampil serves as the Principal of the college, and Sr. Jane Francis is the Vice- principal with a team of dedicated faculty and Staff. The Holy Cross campus is vast and provides adequate facilities for the all-round development of the students.

Library

As far as a college is concerned library is the ‘heart’ of the institution. The college has a well-established library. The Holy Cross College of Nursing library provides reference services for diploma, graduate, and postgraduate students who are engaged in doing assignments, seminars, project works, etc. Internet facilities are also provided. The library is open to every member in the campus. The library and reading room will remain open from 8.am.to 9. pm. The college subscribes to periodicals in Malayalam and English. It also includes 59 National and International journals that are related to the respective subjects. The library has kept back volumes of the journals and has e- journal facility. The library has a separate collection of graduate and post-graduate dissertations.

Hospital Facility

Holy Cross Hospital, Kottayam, Kollam is a premier center in the field of medical service in the state of Kerala. The Hospital run by the society of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, completes 66 years of its glorious existence in the field of health care. It has earned a niche for itself as a paragon of health care for its noble and selfless service. In the year 1952, Holy Cross Hospital was started as a small Hospital with 20 beds.

Hostel

Holy Cross Hostel is located adjacent to Holy Cross College of Nursing and has convenient facilities to accommodate 400 inmates. Admission is provided only for girls with a written request to the principal. A full-time warden and her assistant attend to the needs of the students. Mess is charged by dividing system. All inmates are directed to abide by the hostel rules. Ragging is strictly forbidden in the hostel and college campus.
