The college started with the intention of paying tribute to Ms. Badrun Nisa, wife of Mr. Ilyas Azmi, Ex. M.P. for Shahabad Constituency of Dist. Hordoi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Ms. Badrun Nisa was a sophisticated lady and was always keen to open Educational institutions for imparting knowledge to the socially weaker and backward people, especially for rural education. But before she could materialize her desire, she expired on 18th October 1980. It is in her memory that Ibne Seena College has been established.
