The selection under BCA, B.Sc., BA and B.Com. will be done on a merit basis.

The selection under M.Sc. IT will be done on the basis of the Entrance test. The marks obtained will be the criteria for drafting the merit list and admitting the students to this course.

The selection in all the other PG courses will be based on the marks in the qualifying degree.

Course Eligibility
M.Com Candidate should be a B.Com or BBA graduate from a recognized Indian or foreign college
UG Courses Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognized Indian or foreign board
PG Diploma Candidate must have completed their graduation from a recognized Indian or foreign university in any stream
B.Sc Candidates must have 10+2 with the science stream or should complete a 3 years diploma in Polytechnic.
B.Com Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Indian or foreign board in any stream
Certificate Courses Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent
BCA Candidate must have passed 10+2 or must have a 3 years of Polytechnic diploma
PG Courses Candidate must have a graduate degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university
IDOL GU Admission
IDOL GU offers two types of admission process: on-the-spot admission and online admission

On-the-spot admission: Candidates can visit any study center or office of IDOL Gauhati with all the necessary documents. Students have to fill up the application form that can be obtained by paying 50 rs from the respective study centers.

Documents needed for spot admission are:

Two copies of recent passport-size photos
GU registration certificate (for the graduates of GU)
HSLC admit card/birth certificate/pass certificate/mark sheets/certificate of qualifying examinations
Admission in all the courses will be done based on merit in the qualifying exam. The entrance exam will be conducted only for MSc IT. The eligibility criteria for the 3 years undergraduate courses are that the student should pass 10+2. The eligibility criteria for the postgraduate courses are graduation from a recognized university.
