Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow (hereinafter referred to as "IET) (popularly known as "Engineering College" in Lucknow) is one of the largest and highest-ranked institutes among all technical institutions associated/affiliated with Dr. A.P. J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (hereinafter referred to as "AKTU"). IET was established by the government of Uttar Pradesh in 1984 as a society-governed institution. The Institute is funded by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and administered by the Executive Council of AKTU.

Residential Accommodation

There are eight hostels for boys and three for girls, which can accommodate around 2000 students. All hostels are located on the campus of the Institute. Each hostel has its own mess, run by student representatives. The hostels are equipped with a TV, water purifier, water cooler, geyser, and indoor play facilities. A newly built Maitraiyee hostel is ready to be assigned to female students.

Library

the treasury of books and periodicals is the center of intellectual activity in each institution. The Central Library works for its readers with a concern for creativity and innovation, predecessors of Research and Development. The general library of our college was established in 2000. It has a well-equipped library that accumulates over 45,024 volumes of selected books in various engineering, management, and basic and general science subjects. Audiovisual educational programs and video lessons often take place in the library.

Computer Center

The institute has well-equipped, air-conditioned computer labs with the latest hardware and software. All computers are part of an intranet. The property has 24-hour high-speed internet connectivity. Students and researchers have 24 access to the calculation structures.

Gym

A state-of-the-art gymnasium has been established to help maintain the physical fitness of students. The gym is equipped with all modern equipment and is open to boys and girls at different times in the morning and evening.

Medical Services and Health Center

As a healthy body leads to a healthy mind,  the Institute offers a dispensary which it is a well-organized entity that hosts about 2,000 people (including 1,700 students and 300 staff members). He regularly provides all medical facilities and medicines to the patients of the Institute during OPD hours.

Canteen

It is speckless and maintained very well. It provides good quality fresh Snacks, cool drinks, coffee, tea, and other food items in a hygienic, healthy way that suits the pockets of the student.

Auditorium

Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Sabhagar has a seating configuration for 800 people with acoustic audio-visual services. Other facilities include video conferencing, digital projection, and Wi-Fi facilities. It has a large stage to use for all common functions. It is the central and important place to organize professional seminars, organize conferences, and presentations. It is also a venue for various student cultural events and the annual ENCORE student party. There is also backstage support and a service room.

Sports Complex

The role of sport in keeping young engineers fit and active is immense. A sports complex with all modern conveniences is under construction at the IET. This particular on-campus sports complex was built with the idea that students and faculty members should have easy access to sports. The sports complex will have a football pitch, a cricket pitch, a lawn tennis court, basketball and volleyball courts, an athletics track, etc. It will also have a multipurpose room to accommodate different indoor sports.

Bank

The students have the facility of an on-campus bank, viz. Vijaya Bank Branch, which is a well-equipped computerized branch, provides instant deposits and withdrawals, which saves students valuable time.

Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow accepts admission through various entrance exams like UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test) & Admission to Master of Technology is done through GATE and a centralized entrance examination conducted by AKTU while admission to Ph. D.  program is done twice in each Academic Session by AKTU.

The Placement Office is responsible for campus placement at IET Lucknow. The Placement-in-Charge, the Assistant Placement Officer, the Placement Office staff, and the student representatives handle various crucial tasks in the office like reaching out to companies, scheduling & executing placement-related activities, and carrying out all official communication with recruiters and with students.  The team strives to strike a match between recruiter expectations and student aspirations.
