Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow (IGICM) is one of the premier management institutes of the state established in the year 1956.
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow (IGICM) is one of the leading management institutes in the state established in the year 1956 and is one among the nineteen institutes running in the country, functioning under the administrative control of the National Council for Cooperative Education (NCCT), New Delhi, an autonomous enterprise promoted by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
In the Year 2004, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program was started in the institute with the endorsement of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow (Formerly known as UPTU) & An Institution Functioning Under Administrative Control of National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT).
Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow of courses are offered at various levels like Diploma Degree (i.e Diploma in Cooperative Management (DCM), etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e MBA, etc.) and Ph.D. and many more. Residential Accommodation
A hostel with 102 independent rooms is available for MBAs, HDCMs, DHCMs, DICMs, and short course participants. The hostel consists of single and double-seated rooms. There are few rooms with attached bathrooms. Some rooms are also equipped with refrigerators or air conditioners. Bathrooms are fitted with geysers, A well-furnished hostel influenced by the confluence of three rivers existing in the state is being developed as:
The Gomti (Executive Hostel) has 30 rooms with modernized facilities and a comfortable stay for the participants, accommodated in double sharing. Sarswati (Girls Hostel) provides a very comfortable stay for female students/participants in MBA and other programs. The participants residing in the hostel are required to strictly abide by the hostel rules as established during their stay at the hostel, failure to follow the rules will result in disciplinary action. Seats in the hostel will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. All the rooms are twins sharing a common dining hall and recreation hall.
The library
The IGICM Institute has built up an extensive resource center for management studies and research. The library has an excellent collection of over 12,000 on various related subjects management, Computers, Economics, Commerce, Cooperation, Law, Finance, Banking, Projects, a series of Encyclopedia, important References, etc. on management and related fields. It also subscribes to 84 numbers of periodicals and journals. Besides, there are a good number of audio and videos on a variety of subjects. There is a continuous effort to make additions to enable faculty and students to learn about the latest developments in all fields of endeavor. The library of the institute with its study center is kept open from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on all working days. Students are required to abide by library rules established by the authority from time to time.
Conference Hall
We have a well-designed seminar and conference hall with suitable configurations to facilitate effective discussions and deliberations. The room is equipped with modern communication systems. Our seminar rooms are well equipped with high-end multimedia tools, audio systems, and video conferencing facilities to support the regular business interface required. They are very well laid out with a corporate atmosphere, various group activities, and discussions by different experts and professors are conducted here with the help of PPT on the projector.
Canteen
Institute is having a big dining hall with a sitting arrangement of 100 participants. Equipped with a water cooler, refrigerator, etc. To provide safe and pure drinking water, an RO water purifier is equipped with a water chiller.
Sport
We also pay attention to students’ health & fitness and have arrangements for sports like volleyball, basketball, cricket, and badminton. We have organized the Sports Fest where sporting events such as Cricket, Badminton, Tug of War, Kabaddi, Carom, Chess, Musical Chair, etc. took place. The student shared high competition and sportsmanship.
Computer Lab
To equip future managers with the skills needed to run digital businesses, we have built a state-of-the-art computer center equipped with advanced configuration computers. The Centre has 32-MBPS internet connectivity with Wi-Fi enabled environment to meet the requirement of the faculty and students so that they can access the internet throughout the campus area from their laptops/mobile devices. The computer lab installed an LCD projector for better learning and practice of the subject. The institute is committed to developing a digital environment on the campus. It is equipped with Licensed software with online and offline access.
