Indira Gandhi Institute Of Development Research Commonly known as Placecom among students, this committee assumes the responsibility for overseeing the executive and summer placements of graduating students. Its primary goal is to shape the future of students by facilitating regular interactions and feedback sessions to understand their preferences across diverse industries. Concurrently, Placecom focuses on cultivating strong relationships with recruiters. The seamless coordination of a wide spectrum of opportunities, including summer internships, executive placements, and pre-placement talks, constitutes the core function of Placecom.

Indira Gandhi Institute Of Development Research Placement Committee, an integral student organization at IGIDR, collaborates closely with the Faculty Placement Committee to serve as a platform for students seeking recruitment opportunities to connect with potential recruiters on campus. Since its establishment in 2004, the placement committee has maintained an impressive track record of successful placements.

The Placement Committee extends a warm invitation to corporate companies, banks, research institutions, public entities, and non-governmental organizations to participate in the placement process at IGIDR.
