This would require strong products with leading technology/quality and compelling cost advantage. Suitably trained manpower with skill sets appropriate for design, development and prototyping using modern IT tools is critical to achieving this goal.
Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram is a nationally significant institute, funded by MHRD, Government of India in 2007 with a mandate to specialize in design and manufacturing oriented engineering education and research. Past reforms in human resource development have helped India gain global recognition in the field of knowledge and information technology-based services.

Various extracurricular activities such as the creators club, coding club, etc., are coordinated throughout the year by the respective technical secretariat of the hostel. Students also enjoy many cultural activities over the years conducted at the hostel. In addition to this, many cultural and social activities also take place during the academic year.
Library
IIITDM Kancheepuram understands its importance and potential as an excellent academic institution that would create and develop a new generation of engineers and technologists capable of leading industries in this globally competitive economic environment. To aid in this mission, the IllTDM Kancheepuram Central Library is responsible for acquiring dissimilar information in various forms. The library has a large and diverse collection of books by international and national authors, and he subscribes to numerous national and international electronic magazines and sources, also available via the intranet.
Medical Services and Health Center
The Medical Aid Center provides 24/7 medical assistance to all residents. The institute also has links with renowned hospitals nearby to provide medical assistance and also takes care of an ambulance service for any emergency. All the students are covered under group medical insurance arranged by the Institute.

Truly said! At IIITDM Kancheepuram, we provide facilities for students to live "beyond" academic experience, maintain physical fitness, and excel as bright students. The institute has a gymnasium, cricket pitch, football pitch, basketball court, lawn tennis court, volleyball court, a ping-pong room, a badminton court, etc.
Top Class Education Scholarship for SC/ST Students.
Ten new positions have been allocated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for the students and the Ministry of tribal Affairs for ST students under top-class education scholarship schemes. Top Class Education Scholarship has been sanctioned to SC/ST students admitted to B.Tech program whose parental income is less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs p.a.
