The establishment of the IISER Mohali Library dates back to 2007, coinciding with the institute's inception, to address the educational and research information needs of the user community. Originally, it started in a medium-sized hall with around 500 books. Over the years, the library has transformed into a dynamic space fostering intellectual inquiry, and catering to the evolving demands of the academic environment.

The library ensures constant access to essential and specialized resources that serve as valuable assets for teaching, learning, and research. Keeping pace with advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), IISER Mohali has developed a state-of-the-art library equipped with cutting-edge technology and world-class infrastructure.

Computer Center Facilities:

IISER Mohali's computing facility operates on a Linux Platform and is based on open-source principles. It boasts comprehensive software resources essential for research and developmental purposes. Designed with a three-fold purpose, the facility aims to impart computer skills to students, provide network and internet services to the IISERM community, and contribute computational power for scientific research. Plans include enhancing the infrastructure by developing a parallel Linux cluster and augmenting the existing CPU capabilities.

Sports Facilities:

The IISER Mohali offers a range of sports facilities, including an athletics track, basketball court, throwball, and volleyball court, badminton and table tennis areas, chess, and a spacious ground for cricket, football, kabaddi, and kho kho.
