Indian Institute of Technology, Raipur Admission is open for all UG and PG courses for the academic session 2024-25. The application fees depend on the program in which program you want to be admitted. The Indian Institute of Technology is also accepting applications for Lateral Entry Courses, Online Degree Programs, and Distance Education Courses.

IIT Bhilai recognized as an institute of national importance under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act 2016, is dedicated to providing education and conducting research across various domains such as engineering, technology, science, and arts. The primary goal of IIT Bhilai is to equip young individuals with cutting-edge technical skills and knowledge, empowering them to tackle real-life challenges with confidence and maturity as future professional leaders. IIT Bhilai is inviting applications for admission to various MTech programs, including Bioengineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering (Power Systems and Power Electronics, Control and Instrumentation), Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electric Vehicle Technology, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Design and Manufacturing, Thermal and Fluids Engineering), and Mechatronics Engineering. The admission is for the session commencing in July 2024.
Candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for admission to the MTech program at IIT Bhilai as regular students. Successful applicants admitted to the regular MTech program may qualify for the Institute Fellowship by the norms established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
A. Applicants must possess ONE of the following qualifications in relevant subject areas:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with first-class, securing 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or an equivalent grade.
A Master’s degree in science or an equivalent degree, with first-class, achieving 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or an equivalent grade.
#B. Pharma (with a duration of 4 years), with first-class, attaining 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or an equivalent grade.
#M.B.B.S or B.D.S or a related degree (with a minimum of 4 years), with first-class, obtaining 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or an equivalent grade.

B. Additionally, applicants must meet ONE of the following additional criteria:
Possession of a Valid GATE Score/GPAT Score (refer to Table 1 for Discipline-specific criteria).
A CPI/CGPA of 8.0 in BTech, if the degree is obtained from an IIT.
An ongoing degree may also be considered as a qualifying degree, provided the applicant fulfills all graduation requirements before the commencement of the MTech program. Discipline-specific requirements are outlined in Table 1.

Prospective applicants are required to register on the COAP portal before initiating the application process on the online admission portal of IIT Bhilai. A valid COAP registration number is a mandatory prerequisite for completing the application form.
Before filling out the application form, applicants must carefully read and understand all the provided instructions.
The online application form can be accessed at admission. Applications received through any other means will not be processed.
In the case of applicants applying to multiple MTech programs, a separate application form must be duly filled out for each program.
Reservations are applicable for candidates falling under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Class Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwD) categories, by the rules stipulated by the Government of India. Necessary supporting documents must be attached during the online application, and verification will be conducted during the admission process.
Applicants are required to thoroughly complete the application form and proceed to make the necessary payment.
During the application process, applicants must have the following softcopy documents ready for upload:

Academic certificates (10th, 12th / Diploma, UG & PG certificates, etc., as applicable)
Mark sheets of all semesters/Consolidated mark sheet of the qualifying degree. Result-awaited candidates must upload their latest/previous semester mark sheet.
Category certificate (EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable.
Experience certificate and any other relevant documents, as applicable.
Additionally, applicants need to provide details for at least two individuals who can furnish reference letters supporting the applicant's candidature. At least one referee must be an academician who has taught the applicant.
For applicants with degrees from foreign universities, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, for the qualifying exam is required. Proof of having secured first-class or 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination should also be provided.
Applicants are strongly advised to regularly check the Institute website and the COAP website for results and important announcements. Additionally, applicants should monitor the email address provided in their applications for crucial communications and announcements. Offer letters will be exclusively accessible through the COAP portal.

Candidates are required to apply online through the IIT Bhilai website. A new registration is necessary for each program the applicant wishes to apply for. The applicant must complete all required information and upload any necessary documents.
Finalizing the application is mandatory. Once finalized, no further editing, modification, or addition is possible. Therefore, candidates should carefully verify details before finalizing the application form. After finalization, an application number will be generated, and candidates should note this number for future reference.
An application fee is applicable for SC/ST/PWD/female candidates and is applicable for other candidates. Payment must be made through State Bank Collect. Candidates should visit the SBI Collect portal, select the category "Educational Institutions," search for "IIT BHILAI," and then choose the payment category "MTech Application Fee 2023-24 M Semester. " After payment, SBI Collect will generate a payment reference number, and candidates should retain a copy of the SBI i-collect receipt for future reference.
This step should be completed after the generation of the SBI Collect DU reference number. The applicant needs to add the DU reference number to their application.
Note: Candidates applying for multiple MTech programs must apply and pay the application fee for each program separately.
