IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. Today IITH offers 11 B.Tech programs, 1 B.Des Program, 3 M.Sc programs, 18 M.Tech programs, 1 M.Des program, 1 MA Program and 15 Ph.D. programs in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design.
Over the past two years, the IITH has successfully established links with leading academic institutions around the world. The IITH has a very special relationship with Japanese universities and industries that goes beyond academics and research collaborations. Indeed, some of the iconic buildings on the IITH campus will bear the signature of Japanese architecture.

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad)courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degree (i.e B.Tech etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e M.Tech, M.Sc., M. Des. etc.) and Doctoral levels and many more. Residential Accommodation:
The IITH offers very comfortable accommodation for its students. To combat the heat during the summer, hostels are designed with the technique of radiant cooling. Each student has a single room with basic infrastructures such as a bed, wardrobe, and study table.
Library:
IITH has a well-equipped library with more than 20,000 books and 10,000 periodicals. Books include reference books in addition to regular editions. The IITH also has an internal archive of academic publications produced by its professors and students.
Computer Lab:
The Computer Centre provides students, faculty, and staff of IITH various computers and IT-related facilities including, but not limited to Internet access, LAN, email, VPN, software licenses, data server, website maintenance, and process automation. Cybersecurity awareness refers to the extent to which end users are aware of the cybersecurity threats facing their networks and the risks they introduce. End users are considered the weakest link and the main vulnerability within a network.
Cafeteria:
IITH is a common dining facility for its students, staff, and faculty. North and South Indian varieties are served in the dining room. The quality of food is regularly inspected by the student representatives and the wardens. Shiru Cafe @ the IITH campus is the first outside of Japan. The cafe is run by Japanese students and provides free drinks to the IITH fraternity.
Medical Services and Health Center:
The IITH Specialist Medical Center is adjacent to the Sampoorna Supermarket located in the Faculty Towers area. The (small) ambulance service of the Institute is available 24 hours a day on all working days of the Institute (except Sundays and public holidays).
Transportation:
IITH has limited transportation for its students, staff, and faculty. There are regular services from the nearest Lingampally station to campus and back. The service schedule can be viewed here.
Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) accepts admission through various entrance exams like GATE.
