To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized by the central or state government. Furthermore, they should have passed the examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or any technical vocational subject. Candidates holding a valid Diploma from any recognized institute or a two-year certificate from SLIET, Punjab, will also be considered for admission.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the JEE Main examination. Those with permanent residence in the state of Punjab will benefit from the home state quota for admission. The selection process involves visiting the official JoSAA Website, logging in with the JEE Main Application Number and Password, filling and locking the preferred colleges and specializations, and taking a printout of the selected options. Seats will be allotted based on preferences, seat availability, branch cutoffs, and the order of preference. If vacancies persist after considering all eligible candidates, students will be admitted based on their 10+2 performance.
