B.Tech Admission
IIEST Shibpur offered a four-year B.Tech program in nine specializations, namely, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, and Mining Engineering.
Admissions to the B.Tech and B.Tech+M.Tech programs at IIEST Shibpur are done through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling.
IIEST Shibpur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program at IIEST Shibpur, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination this year with at least five subjects of which not more than two shall be vernacular subjects in the General or Vocational stream of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Vernacular or any other subject (Full Marks not less than 100) or an equivalent examination of a recognized Board or university.
45% marks for General candidates (a minimum of 40% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics taken together and with a minimum of 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates)
B.Tech Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected based on the rank secured in the JEE Mains entrance examination.
The final selection of the candidates will be done through the JoSAA Counseling process.
Seats are allocated based on JEE Main Cutoff, availability of seats, category, choice filling, and other factors.
How To Apply for JEE Main?
Candidates who are eligible for admission have to take the JEE Main. The application process is given below:

Make a note of the system-generated application number
Create a password
Log in again and fill out the form
Upload scanned images of photographs and signature
Pay the application fee through a Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI, or Paytm.

B.Arch Admission
IIEST Shibpur offers a full-time Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program through the Architecture, Town, and Regional Planning Department for five years. Admissions to the program are purely based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA counseling.
B.Arch Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the B.Arch program at IIEST Shibpur, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board of education.
B.Arch Selection Criteria
Selection of the candidates is based on the JEE Main rank in the architecture examination.
Final admissions are offered through the JoSAA counseling process.

M.Tech Admission
IIEST Shibpur offers a two-year M.Tech program in various specializations, namely, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Engineering Mechanics and Geoinformatics, Mining Engineering, and Metallurgy Engineering.
Admissions to the M.Tech program at IIEST Shibpur are done through the GATE entrance examination followed by CCMT Counseling.
M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the M.Tech program at IIEST Shibpur, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

MBA Admission
IIEST Shibpur offers a two-year MBA program in four specializations, namely, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Operations Management. Admissions to the program are based on the CAT/XAT/MATCMAT/GMAT entrance examination followed by a personal interview conducted by the institute.
MBA Eligibility Criteria
The candidates with the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the MBA Program:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Humanities, Arts, Commerce, or Business Administration with a minimum of 60% marks (CGPA = 6.5 on 10 points or equivalent) for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 55% marks (CGPA = 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PWD candidates in the Honours/Major subject.
Students appearing for their final year graduation examination (and fulfilling the eligibility conditions stated above) may also apply.
IIEST Shibpur MBA Selection Criteria
Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT scores.
Shortlisted applicants will be appearing for the Writing Ability Test.
The candidates further shortlisted based on the written test will then be called for the interview.
Final selection will be made based on past academic performance, entrance scores, and the interview.
