Merit-based admissions are used at the Indian Institute of Finance. The Grade Point Score (GPS) is taken into account by the institute while making final program selections. The grades take into account prior academic performance, additional accomplishments, job experience, professional development positioning, and in-person interviews. There is further differentiation in the selection requirements based on categories. The institute uses a PI round and written exam to select candidates for general seats. Interviews are held exclusively for seats in the foreign category and for direct admission.
Note: In case the GPS Score is more than the Qualifying Level then one is directly Selected, else one has to appear for an Interview (either On Campus/Off Campus via Telephone/Skype)
