Indian Veterinary Research Institute features a hostel designed to cater to the accommodation needs of students. Recognizing the vital role hostels play in college life, and serving as the primary residence for the majority of students, the university ensures that these living spaces are constructed to maximize comfort, foster an inviting atmosphere, and enhance overall efficiency.

Library:

The National Library of Veterinary Sciences at IVRI houses an extensive collection of approximately 250,000 highly specialized reading materials, including books and periodicals. Subscribing to around 125 international journals and 100 Indian periodicals annually, the library embraces digitalization through the use of the KOHA V.3.8 program. Operating 24 terminals, the library provides email and internet access. Three air-conditioned reading rooms are available, and photocopying services can be availed for a fee.

Sports:

IVRI offers top-notch sporting facilities, including outdoor sports like lawn tennis, cricket, basketball, and football, as well as indoor sports like chess. The university actively hosts co-curricular events, ranging from sports to social-cultural activities. Fundraising campaigns, collecting the equivalent of Rs 200 per student, are conducted to upgrade sports facilities, playing a crucial role in students' daily lives and the development of their academic skills.

Computer Labs:

IVRI hosts an advanced Computer Center equipped to meet the computational needs of students, especially for thesis research. The center provides Data Processing and Computer Application instruction to postgraduate students, offering internet and intranet access, as well as email services.
