Institute of Hotel Management, Bhopal was originally established as a Food Craft Institute in 1978 to teach culinary skills and food science. It was only in 1986 that it was given its current identity by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India with the motive of facilitating overall development of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry in India. What started with a batch of 40 students, and after almost 31 years of existence & dedication, IHM has grown into a full-fledged institute with a strong alumni network working in hospitality and various allied industries all over the world.

BTK: Basic Training Kitchen is the practical lab for 1st-year students where they learn the basics of cookery
QTK: Institute of Hotel Management's newly made state-of-the-art Quantity Training Kitchen is the practical lab for 2nd-year students where they learn cooking in bulk
ATK: Advance Training Kitchen, for the 3rd year students, is a platform where they learn the fine art of cooking and presentation of international cuisine
CCK: Craft course and CBSP kitchen
VEGETARIAN KITCHEN: The kitchen exclusively dedicated to the learning of vegetarian food
Bakery and Confectionary:
Bakery Lab 1: Institute of Hotel Management lab where basics of the bakery are covered for 1st-year students
Bakery Lab 2: Meant for the 3rd year students, here they learn specialized baking and confectionary skills
Training Restaurants:
Institute of Hotel Management has three well-equipped restaurants and a bar, where students are given hands-on experience in Food and Beverage Services.
Auditorium:

Eligibility Criteria
B.Sc.(H & HA) Course:
For a student to be eligible to give the JEE, there is some minimum requirement that he needs to fulfill which is:
Candidate should be a +2 pass or equivalent with English as one of the subjects.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand canceled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counseling or at the time of admission. The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an institute, his/her admission will stand canceled.
