The Institute for Human Resource Development (IHRD) is an autonomous educational institution established in 1 by the Government of Kerala. The Institute is registered under the Literary Societies Registration Act No. 12 of 1955, Scientists and Charities of Travancore - Cochin. The Institute is owned by a governing body consisting of the Honorable Minister of Higher Education of the Government of Kerala as President and the Chief Secretary of the Government of Kerala as the Vice President.  

The Human Resource Development Institute is concerned with the country's scientific advancement, technological advancement, and economic growth through human resource development.  Strive to act for the good of the nation according to the principle “think global, act local”.It strives to provide consistent and quality education and training through innovative and comprehensive programs designed to meet the needs of the current and emerging community.
