IPH&H was established in July 1976 by (Late)Dr. Shyam Sunder Joshi, whose visionary ideals led him to envision and create an Institution that was inclusive and opened its doors to the world. It is a Co-educational Institute catering to students from all walks of life. The Institute's founder was also ahead of his time in engaging the Institute in direct service to the community viz. Community Health-Care Services, Free Rural Mobile Health Services, Free Rural Community Public School (Primary Education), Immunization Programme, Service & Rehabilitation to the Disabled, and HIV/AIDS Awareness Programmes, much long before such services were available.

Started with a very humble beginning, it is the premiere and oldest Paramedical and Allied Health Education Institute in the country today, backed with a legacy of 46 years of proven record. Since its inception, the Institute has been imparting life skill training in the healthcare sector to create employability skills among the youth; especially the underprivileged and dropped outs so that they can be groomed as the force of transformation of the nation by skill building while ensuring their livelihood and a lucrative career option in the healthcare industry.

The IPH&H is a Member of the Bureau of Indian Standards (ISI), New Delhi a statutory Body of Govt. of India for " Standardization" in all fields The Institute has been recognized as a vocational training provider in the Medical, Electronics, and Hospitality and IT Management sectors by the Director of Technical Education and Training, Govt. of NCT Delhi under SDI-MES scheme of the Govt. of India and is also providing training to the CRPF personnel in First Aid/Med. Lab. Technician/X-Ray & ECG Technician

The Nursing Foundation Lab. is well equipped with an adequate no. of Models, Educational Charts, Advanced Nursing manikins (Male and Female), CPR dummies, advanced maternal and neonatal emergency simulators, etc. which are specifically designed for professional nursing training.

Community Health and Midwifery lab:

The Community Health and Midwifery lab that has sufficient no. of Anatomical Models, Charts, Delivery Models, and equipped Community Field Visit Bags. that has sufficient no. of Anatomical Models, Charts, Delivery Models and equipped Community Field Visit Bags.

Audion & video Skill Lab:

The Institute is maintaining a Museum with a wide range of Medical Charts, Models, and preserved soft human specimens for teaching & training the candidates of various Diploma & Degree Courses. The Audio-Visual Labs are provided with Projectors, LCDs, ohps & other computerized equipment for cutting-edge training.
