The university was established on 15 September 1999 as the Indian Institute of Information Technology, with its campus at International Tech Park.
International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore was founded in 1999, recognized by AICTE, UGC, popularly known as IIITB, with the goal of contributing to the computing world by focusing on education and research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Institute is a non-profit registered company jointly funded by the Government of Karnataka and the IT industry.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council have graded the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore as A+ in the second cycle of accreditation and also got accredited with AICTE.
At the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore courses are offered at various levels like Postgraduate Degree (i.e M.Tech, M.Sc., etc) Doctoral levels, and many more. Residential Accommodation:
The hostel has Separate hostels for boys and girls that are available within 2 km from the college, with 24 x 7 internet connectivity. Preference is given to non-localities.
Library:
The library is Spacious and extremely well-stocked the library is regularly updated with the latest journals and newsletters.It also provides access to online databases such as ACM, IEL, etc. Its services are also provided by working professionals. The library is accessible to students from 9.30 am to 11 pm every day.
Auditorium:
The Auditorium with all the latest equipment is world-class with a seating capacity of 900+ seats. Sports facilities: Fitness enthusiasts can discover the mind-body balance by working out in the well-equipped gymnasium and on the jogging tracks which stretch for more than 1 km. The campus features a state-of-the-art basketball court, which spans over 6,600 square feet. Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis, and Volleyball are popular campus sports.
The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, Bangalore Scholarships- A grant of INR 17 lakhs will graduate one M.Tech student meeting both tuition and living expenditure over the five years. A grant of INR 7 lakhs will enable one M Tech student to meet his tuition and living expenses. The Institute charges a lower fee for the Ph.D. scholars. Thus a grant of INR 17 lakhs will meet their reduced tuition, and living expenditure and leave them with a stipend over four years.
