UG Eligibility IMA, Chennai

The candidates must possess a 60% Average in PCM at 10+2 qualifying exams. Admission to both programs is also offered via Lateral Entry. Candidates with a valid 10+2 qualification must appear for the Personal Interview along with a passport size Photograph (Two), Original Mark sheet, and passing Certificate of 10th std & 12th std. Verification of Mark sheets and medical Tests will be conducted at the Academy. The students who fail to pass the medical exam won’t be granted admission.

B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building, Marine Engineering

Eligibility - 10+2 qualification with a 60% Average in PCM

Admission Criteria - Past performance followed by PI and Medical Exam

B.Sc in Natural Science

M.Tech Eligibility IMA, Chennai

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or B.Arch/Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture/Bachelor Degree in Natural Science/Ship Building or Aeronautical Engineering.

M.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building

Eligibility - B.Tech/ B.E. degree in a relevant field

Admission Criteria - Based on merit secured by the candidate in the previous qualifying exam

MBA and MIB Eligibility IMA, Chennai

Any degree from a recognized University with 50% marks. Mariners holding the following professional qualification obtained after a minimum duration of study-cum-training of 6 years after 10+2 are also eligible for admission.

Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency.

First Class Motor or Steam or Combined (Chief Engineer) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, or its counterparts in other countries.

Course - MBA in Shipping and Port Management, Shipping and Logistics Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Human Resource, International Business Management, Shipping and Marine Insurance Management
