International Maritime Academy (IMA) is a section 25 registered private ltd company to run maritime courses & established on the year 1999 in Chennai city. The IMA is Approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Ministry of Shipping, Government of India vide their letter No: 3-TR(48/99) on Dec 1999. For its approved Maritime Courses for the issuance of Continues Discharge Certificate (CDC) wherever required. In order to provide technical education in the field of the Merchant Navy, IMA was established. The courses being conducted at IMA are highly job oriented in the worldwide shipping companies. The young boys are motivated properly & trained in a disciplined manner to work with various national in International shipping companies.
