Jabalpur Engineering College in Jabalpur was established on July 7th, 1947 when the chessboard of the whole world was undergoing a drastic change. He was born a few months before India broke the shackles of British slavery. This prestigious institution has been awarded the distinction of Second Engineering College in India and is one of the leading engineering training institutions in Central India. Through the inspired vision of the great pioneering filmmaker Dr. SMr. Chakravarti. From a tiny room in the old Robertson College, this little icon has grown into a mighty oak tree, which is now 63 years old and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2007.
