Admission to the first year is solely based on AICTE norms. The institute acknowledges scores from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) and the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). The prerequisite is a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Class XII, with Physics, Mathematics (compulsory), and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology from any recognized Board or equivalent.
Diploma holders have the opportunity to secure admission in the second year by government norms. The Government Admission Coordination Committee will oversee the filling of these seats through centralized counseling after receiving applications. Additionally, 20% of seats, in addition to the total intake, are available in each discipline. The prerequisite is a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the respective branch from any recognized institute.
Documents Required at the Time of Admission:
The following original documents are required at the time of admission:
1. Certificate / Mark sheet of High School / Secondary bearing the Date of Birth of the candidate.
2. Mark sheet of the 10+2 Examination, as proof of having passed the qualifying examination.
3. Relevant caste certificate (if applicable).
4. Relevant domicile certificate and/or AADHAR card.
5. REAP allotment letter (for candidates applying through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process).
6. Family income proof (for TFWS - Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme candidates only).
Fee Structure:
The fees are applicable for all students as per the rules of the Government of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. Payment can be made in cash or through Demand Drafts.
Notes:
1. The fee structure is subject to change every academic year.
2. This fee structure is applicable for students admitted in the Academic Year 2023-24 only.
3. Additional charges such as REAP Charges, University Development Fees, Enrollment Fees, and Examination fees will be levied by RTU, Kota, as per norms.
4. A hostel security deposit is required whenever a student opts for hostel facilities.
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:
JIT has implemented the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) of AICTE. Under this scheme, 100% of the tuition fee for meritorious students from economically weak backgrounds is waived for all four years of their study. The number of beneficiaries under this scheme may extend up to 5% of the total intake.
