To cater to the growing needs of the vocational and general education of the people of the rural area, Janta Vidya Bhawan, Butana was started in 1952 as a school education. Ch. Dhajja Ram played a leading role in the establishment of this institute. The institute has a sprawling campus spread over an area of 50 acres, totally pollution free the campus boasts spacious lawns and well-laid roads. The institute started the training classes like J.B.T., drawing classes, etc. to enable the youth of this area to get the in various govt. departments. In 1977 a job-oriented diploma course in pharmacy, a diploma in polytechnic in 2004, and a bachelor's degree in pharmacy in 2009 were started in this institute to cater to the need for technical education. The institute endeavors for the fast academic to face the challenges of the 21st century through comprehensive training and an excellent education delivery system.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The college library is well stocked with scientific and technical reference books, pharmacopeias, and textbooks covering all areas of pharmaceutical sciences, and possesses national and international journals, magazines, and newspapers. The library also has Xerox machines and computers with printers for students’ academic purposes.

The Computer lab is well equipped with 20 computers with Intel core 2 duo processors, LAN and Lease Line facility, Scanner, Windows, Laser printers, and much other important software for students.

The college also has a well-furnished lecture Hall having a seating capacity of more than 60 students. The Lecture hall serves the purpose of regular student seminars, teacher lectures, and guest lectures. Separate rooms have been allocated for B.Pharm and D.Pharm classes.

The Janta College of Pharmacy provides separate boys & girls hostel within the campus. To ensure the safety and security of the girl’s hostel located in the vicinity of the residential quarters of the officers of the Janta College of Pharmacy.

The Institute has a cafeteria that provides vegetarian meals and snacks to day scholar faculty, staff, and students.

The Institute provides bus facilities for the students regularly during college times. This bus facility is also provided for educational site visits.
