Established in 1962, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital is ranked among the top 15 medical colleges in India and is currently ranked 22nd among medical colleges according to NIRF. The university has 26 faculties and 3 centers. The faculty consists of 226 qualified and experienced teachers.

Courses Offered: 

Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital Courses are offered by the Undergraduate Programs Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master of Surgery [MS] (Ophthalmology), Diploma in Child Health (DCH), and Diploma in Ophthalmology.

Library: 

The library has 5 amphitheaters, each with space for 150 students. It extends over three floors and contains over 55,000 books on all medical subjects. It was selected by the National Library of Medicine for the pilot project "Connecting Government Libraries of Medical Universities with the NML".

Sports center: 

Many Indian ice hockey players have UAM degrees. The structures include 15 clubs and several sub-clubs. Some of them are an equestrian club, hockey club, tennis club, soccer club, gymkhana club, volleyball club, badminton club, basketball club, table tennis club, gymnastics club, ice skating club, physical culture club (weightlifting, powerlifting, and bodybuilding). a wrestling club, a hiking and mountaineering club, a swimming club, a sports club, and a cricket club.

Hostel: 

JNMC UAM Hostel is known as a dormitory of which 19 were built. 13 are reserved for boys and 6 for girls. All UAM students are required to remain in the dormitories unless they are residents of Aligarh or are in a very close relationship. Facilities include a community room with indoor games, a reading room, a library, sports clubs, and the Literary and Cultural Society. 

Admissions: 

Recruitment for undergraduate and postgraduate studies is based on the NEET UG and GUT exams, respectively. After passing the exam, the candidate must register for an online consultation, in which JNMC must be selected as part of the university selection process. The candidate should also submit an application on the Aligarh Muslim University website after the exam results are announced.
