Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in 1996 with the motto of providing quality technical education in the highly potential Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.Under the able and dynamic leadership of Shri Vijay Darda, Chairman, Lokmat Media Pvt. Ltd, & M.P. Rajya Sabha (1998-2016), the institute is marching towards the fulfillment of the dreams of our beloved 'Babuji', the Late Shri Jawaharlal Darda. The institute has a spacious building of 2.95 lakh square feet spread over 17.3 acres of a green plateau surrounded by tiny hillocks, trees, valleys & lake on the way to Amravati from Yavatmal. JDIET is an unaided engineering institute affiliated with the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, and follows the course curriculum as prescribed by it.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing students' personalities through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities, and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

JDIET Boys Hostel is established in the year 2010 to provide accommodation and mess facilities to students of Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering and Technology. The hostel accommodates 99 students. Each room is attached to a separate Bathroom equipped with Cold and Hot water, Washbasin with a mirror. The rooms are furnished with Cots, Fans, Tables, Chairs, and with Cupboards. Internet facility & RO drinking water is available to the Students of the hostel. 

COMPUTER CENTER

The computer center has more than 150 sq. Mt. area and more than 100 PCs arranged with updated systems. Also, it has one Server room for the CAS system. We have 4 Servers for handling our Collage Administration Software (CAS). This has one Application Server, Data Base Server, Web CAS Server, and Storage server of more than 4TB storage capacity with 32GB RAM.

CAFETERIA

The institute has a spacious canteen facility for the convenience of the students. The canteen serves a variety of food items as per the requirements of students. The total canteen area is 236 Sq.mt. The canteen building is airy and has separate sections for staff, boys, and girls and is continuous monitor by CCTV.

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

The training and placement cell of JDIET is committed to providing job opportunities the aspiring students in top organizations of international and national repute. In order to enhance the employability of the JDIET students, this cell offers specialized training through professional training agencies on a continual basis. The focus of training is on technical, aptitude, and soft skills Viz. Communication skills, group discussion, interview skills, formal writing skills, etc. This training empowers the students with the required skill sets which are needed for the selection in the campus interview process. In every academic session, the reputed multinational and national industries conduct the campus recruitment process at JDIET.
