Established in 1983, Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JEC) is a self-aided college situated in Aurangabad. It became a part of MGM University, Aurangabad from the 2020-21 academic year. JNEC Aurangabad is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Council of Architecture. It is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ Grade.

In an area of 2733.66 sq. mt. set 5 courts where students are trained under the guidance of former national coach Nilesh Harde.

Auditorium:

A large hall with a seating capacity of 900 people and the state of the art facilities, Rukmini Auditorium, is one of the best auditoriums in the city of Aurangabad. Several social, cultural, and educational programs are regularly held at the auditorium providing students an invaluable opportunity to listen to eminent personalities from various fields and experience the rich cultural heritage of our country.

Each of these halls has a seating capacity of 200 people and conference rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities.

Well-furnished seminar hall which accommodates nearly 150 audiences.

Computing Facility:

Central Computing Center is responsible for Network and Server Management and maintenance, Web Development, preparing instructional material, and promotion and publication of it. It also provides Internet facilities to the campus and supports students in their project work, seminars & presentations.

Sports Facilities:

The sports facility is an integral part of an educational activity to keep students physically and mentally healthy for this, MGM has established a huge sports complex with indoor and outdoor game facilities. The total area of the sports complex is 97400 sq. m. out of which the sports building area is 2151.61 sq. m. and the area of courts is 18793.66 sq. M. and much more. MGM University has a lively sports club that is filled with several activities and competitions all year. To create awareness about physical fitness among students, MGM University has built global standard sports facilities on a 48,437 Sq. ft. area.

Admission Process:

Students are offered admission at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. JNEC Aurangabad admissions are offered in the branches such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunications engineering, computer science engineering, information technology, chemical engineering, etc JNEC Aurangabad courses offered for MGM's Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College admissions are B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech etc. For B.Tech admissions, students (all India candidates) have to appear for MGMU-CET/ JEE Main Paper- 1/ MHT-CET/ PERA CET and should obtain a non-zero score in MGMU-CET/ JEE Main Paper-I/ MHT-CET/ PERA CET. It is to be noted that preference shall be given to students obtaining a non-zero positive score in JEE Main Paper 1. Students (all India and Maharashtra candidates ) wanting to take admission in B.Arch at JNEC Aurangabad need to appear for NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Admission is based on an entrance exam conducted by the University.
