Jayamatha Engineering College (JEC) is established in 1995 and the college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The College is located in Aralvoimozhi in the Kanyakumari district of Muppandal in Tamil Nadu. Encouraged by the wide encomium received from all quarters of the country, Sri A.Johnsel Raja, the eldest son of Dr. S.A. Raja installed the Jaya Educational and Charitable Trust, Nagercoil withinside the 12 months of 1994.

Hostel:

The hostel has been built with the high aim of providing comfortable and safe accommodation. The college has separate hostels for each boy and girl. Special care is taken to maintain hygienic conditions. The hostel offers enough space to learn and achieve a better position for each student. Daily study hour is observed. Students are monitored round the clock and counseled by an experienced and dedicated staff team.

Transport Facility : 

There is a separate transport yard with all the facilities for maintenance to upkeep the college buses in the camp. The buses are exclusively for the conveyance of students from Thiruvananthapuram, Marthandam, Karungal, Monday Market, Nagercoil, Kanya Kumari, Valliyoor, Kallakadu, Tirunelveli, Theroor and Kulachel. The college campus and its surroundings offer a picturesque panoramic view.

Library : 

The university has a tremendous library housing a sufficient extent of technology and technical books as per university norms, spacious with a good collection of reference books, periodicals, and journals. The series is replete with 24542 volumes of books and 5684 titles and 20918 checkbooks (Engg.), 4027 reference books (Engg.), and 3624 maths, physics, and chemistry (Engg.).

Admission

A pass in HSC/PDC or equivalent examination with an average of 50% in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry in aggregate as per AICTE norms. B.C. 45%, M.B.C. 40% in Tamilnadu. SC/ST in Tamilnadu- by skip in H.Sc or equivalent, Diploma holders: For admission to the first year, a minimum average of 55% in the final year.

Placement

Organizes soft skill training programs to improve self-esteem & Confidence level, and also develop better presentation & Communication skills. Efforts are being taken to help the students to face the placement norms by providing coaching in aptitude and conducting mock interviews and group discussions through guest lectures and experts. The placement cell also arranges practical training such as Industrial visits, Implant training, project works, etc., which helps the students to acquire practical experience.
