JSPM’s Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering (JSCOE) is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and NAAC Accredited. It was established by JSPM on the second campus at Hadapsar. It is involved in practicing various teaching-learning methodologies of excellence to deliver quality engineering to students coming from all corners of the country. The Institute is located in Hadapsar (Pune) surrounded by Industries, IT Companies, and Reputed Townships. The excellent academic calendar with space for individual skills and personality development, excellent teamwork of faculty members, and initiative for industry interface are salient features of the institute.

The College location has a history as pilgrims traveling from Dehu and Alandi to Pandharpur used to rest here. It was called “Visawa”. We now say that students would come here for four years to study and then leave the campus after acquiring knowledge.

JSCOE resides at the vibrant and green Hadapsar campus of JSPM. The campus provides the following facilities to its students.

The Hadapsar campus offers hostel accommodation only for girls. The institute provides well-furnished rooms with different occupancy requirements for the students. The hostel provides a canteen facility, security, free Wi-Fi, and recreational facilities. The fee for each student is INR 35000 for a year.

The institute offers transport facilities like buses to students commuting from different places within Pune. The students and faculty must pay a fee to use the transport facility. There are also inter-campus bus facilities.

The institute has a sports ground with varied sports facilities like volleyball, basketball, badminton, football, and cricket. There are also indoor game facilities at the campus. The college also has a huge NSS participation.

Jayawant Library of JSPM’s Engineering College was established in 2004. It serves as a resource center for teaching staff, students, and research scholars by providing knowledge through both print and digital forms. The library intends to incorporate the latest technology & adopt user friendly toward students and faculty. The library is well-equipped with a large collection of textbooks, reference books, technical journals, educational DVDs, and CDs. It houses sufficient reference and reading material for students and faculty from multiple disciplines. The library follows the DDC classification system for book arrangement. The Central Library subscribes to national and international journals in print and e-Journals form. The library has a video conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses, the Swayam Programme, and other E-Learning resources initiated by the Government of India.

The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in proving job opportunities for all Under Graduates students passing out from the college by being connected with reputed firms and industrial establishments and helping them in recruiting our students.

These companies visit campus and conduct Campus placement drives and the number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. Successfully maintaining high placement statistics over the years is a testimony to our quality.

The Placement Cell arranges training programs like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshops, etc and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors.
