We introduce ourselves as Jayvantrai Harrai Desai Polytechnic situated on Palsana – Baleshwar Road, Palsana, Dist. Surat (Gujarat). The Institute was established in 2011 by Dr. Saurabh J. Desai Charitable Trust. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad. The Institute has well established Central Library, Central Computer Centre, and state of art Laboratories. The institute imparts sound technical education to the students to make them competent in changing technological era. The institute is equipped with a central workshop that imparts practical knowledge on machining, fitting, carpentry, welding, smithy, tin smithy, and foundry. It is equipped with all gear lathes, conventional lathes as well as woodworking lathes. A machine shop is also equipped with a Shaper, surface grinding machine, universal milling machines, etc. A hand on practice is given to the students on all these machines. A carpet area of 200 sqm is provided.

At our college, the library facilitates learning printed media such as Standard Textbooks, Reference books, and Magazines. The library is spread across a 326-square-meter area.

The Institute has built a spacious canteen to cater to the needs of students and faculties. The canteen provides hygienic food to students at an affordable rate. The facility is properly equipped with all necessary kitchen equipment and serves fresh snacks, meals, chilled beverages, and ice creams.

We have our own fleet of buses, which punctually bring students from different corners of surat city to our campus. We have an adequate number of well-maintained buses. State transport buses are also available from surat, Navsari, and Bartoli.
