Jnanadabhiram Barooah Law College, known as J.B Law College (JBLC) was established in 1969, in Guwahati, the largest city of Assam. The college is affiliated with Gauhati University Bar Council of India(BCI) and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The college offers Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees focusing on the area of Law. JB Law College offers various courses in the field of Legal Studies both at the UG and PG levels. The college makes the selection process for BA.LLB and LLB programs through a merit and admission Test followed by an Interview. The candidates seeking admission to LLM have to appear in Statutory Written Admission Test in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Indian Penal Code, and Current Legal problem. On the basis of performance in the Admission Test, the candidates are selected for admission to the LL.M program.
