J.D. Gabani Commerce College & Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati College of management, situated at river front of Tapi, the heart of the city of Surat was established in 1994 with a view in house facility for higher education.
In 1993, the dean decided to create 3 faculties: Arts, Commerce and Sciences, and began the construction of the university campus. Finally, on July 12, 1999, Shree J.D. Gabani Commerce College commenced. The faculties specifically Shree J.B. Dharukawala Arts and Shree J.D.Gabani Commerce College were a joint university from 1999 to 2005.
Then the previous university have become a grant-in-resource and the latter was given separated from the incorporated unit and consequently became a self-funding institution. The consider additionally commenced any other university specifically Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati College of Management which later were given merged with Commerce university.

Sports Facilities:
The students can also play indoor games like chess, table tennis, etc. in the games room where all these games are provided. The university places full emphasis on the cognitive fitness of the students, which is only possible if they "relax" and play.
