Adaikalaraj Ex. Member of Parliament. Jennys College of Nursing was started in 2010 with the mission to contribute a hand in taking care of the weak and sick by providing quality Nursing Education. Jenney College of Nursing became began out withinside the 12 months of 2010 with the purpose to offer compassionate, Caring, professional, and properly skilled nurses with the point of interest to serve the susceptible and sick.

Facilities and Infrastructure at Jennys College of Nursing

Jennys College of Nursing is built on a sprawling campus and has a brilliant bodily infrastructure. The well-planned infrastructure encompasses Academic Blocks, Administrative Blocks, Faculty Rooms, Library, and Laboratories. The College is situated at Ramjee Nagar, 7 km from the central bus stand in Tiruchirappalli on the Trichy-Dindigul Highway.

Laboratory:

The Nurses should have professional training and skill in nursing procedures during their academia to characteristic correctly and protect the customers and the career withinside the sanatorium and community. To facilitate this, the students are initially trained to provide care, practice procedures And apprehend customs, behavior, and traditions in closed surrounding referred to as the “Nursing Laboratories”.Nursing Foundations Laboratory: This Lab is well equipped with 10 beds including a fracture bed & fowler’s bed & 15 sets of all items needed for nursing procedure practice. It is well ventilated with adequate lighting & provides facilities for the practice of 20 students at a time. It has got hand washing facilities both pedal and hand operated. There is a separate area for teaching isolation techniques. There is an adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Dummy also available for students to practice first aid in case of cardiac arrest. Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory: There are three whole-body mounted skeletons and plenty of loose bones to facilitate students learning. It is equipped with charts & models of all systems.

Nutrition Laboratory:

It has got LPG connections, hand washing facilities, a storage facility for dry rations, refrigerator for storing perishables. Pressure cookers, Mixies & Microwave ovens facilitate cooking demonstrations, dining areas facilitate students to learn serving etiquette & how to make food presentations & serving in an attractive way. 

Computer Laboratory:

The computer lab has a spacious area & is well equipped with 20 computers connected to internet facilities.

Library Facilities:

The library at the Jennys College of Nursing is a storehouse of knowledge stocking more than 2,000 books of current Medical and Nursing titles and subscriptions of about 15 journals both National and International Journals. It also has a digital library with an e-journals facility.

Classroom:

The Jennys College of Nursing has well-ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements. Each classroom is equipped with Black Boards, OHPs, and a Public Address System.

Multipurpose Hall:

The college building has two modernized air-conditioned multipurpose halls with LCD projectors and audio-visual facilities to conduct seminars and various other educational and cultural programs of the college.

Clinicals:

have tie-up arrangements with various Speciality Hospitals in the district to provide practical training for our students.

Transport Facilities:

The Students are provided to have transport facilities that enable them to reach the affiliated hospitals and other areas of the clinical posting. The faculty also pick up and drop facilities between the college's central bus stand and the Railway junction. The College is provided with 4 buses.

Sports:

The sports facilities within the campus will enable the students' outdoor games such as Throwball, Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, etc. Indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom Board, Scrabble, etc. will be provided in the hostel. TV with Dish connection & DVD facilities will be provided for entertainment.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel building is well-ventilated with spacious rooms, safe for student accommodation. It is equipped with a reading room, recreation hall, visitor’s room, sick room, and hygienic Kitchen which will serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
