JCE Chennai B.E/B.Tech. Eligibility
Candidates applying for BE programs should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their senior secondary exams. For BC candidates, the minimum requirement is 45%, while for MBC it's 40%. SC/ST candidates need to have passed the qualifying examination.
The college also provides lateral entry admissions for the second year of the undergraduate programs. Applicants should have completed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent examination.
JCE Chennai B.E/B.Tech. Selection Criteria
Admission is based on the entrance exam scores. Students selected on the merit list after the entrance examinations will be invited to participate in the counseling round.
The TNEA selection process considers candidates' performance in the qualifying examination, with 100 marks allocated to Mathematics and 100 marks combined for Physics and Chemistry, making a total of 200 marks.

JCE provides an MBA and an M.E. in five disciplines at the postgraduate level, each with a duration of two years.

JCE Chennai PG Selection Criteria
1. M.Tech. - Admission to the M.Tech. program is based on candidates' performance in TANCET/GATE.
2. MBA - Candidates are selected for the MBA program based on their performance in TANCET followed by counseling.
3. After the entrance exams, candidates selected in the merit list will be informed to attend the counseling round and choose seats based on their TANCET rank.
Note: TANCET has a duration of 2 hours, and there is a negative marking for incorrect answers.
