The JNTUH University College of Engineering Manthani was established in the year 2010 as a Constituent College of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, vide G.O. Ms. No. 21, Higher Education (E.C.I) Department dated 25.03.2010 to provide Engineering Education to the rural youth of certain backward areas of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal of Telangana State.JNTUH College of Engineering Manthani started functioning with five Undergraduate Programs viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Students take admissions to UG programs through EAMCET. The total number of student’s intake per annum is 284, out of these 4 branches, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering each branch has an intake of 60 students and Mining Engineering has an intake of 30 students and added to this 5% quota i.e 3 students in CE, EEE, ME and CSE and 2 students in Mining branch are selected through Singareni Admission as part of supernumerary quota.

STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTRE

It is the pivotal point for student activities and conducting various events relating to the students. At the apex of this structure is the Asst. Professor in charge (Student Affairs) Dr.Kaujala Prasanna Lakshmi, Associate Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department. She is assisted by the Faculty (SAC) and by various student office bearers. A variety of educational, cultural, literary, and recreational activities are organized and successfully conducted by this wing at the college

STUDENTS CHAPTER

The Institution of Engineers (Ramagundam Chapter) inaugurated the student chapter at our college.

INTERNET FACILITY

Internet facility is provided for the students so that they can widen their horizons of learning by acquiring knowledge that can provide answers to their questioning minds. An Internet lab with a high-speed Internet facility is maintained for this specific purpose.

DISPENSARY

In the college, the dispensary caters to the primary medical needs of the students. First aid kits, medical supplies, basic medicines preparations, and treatments are dispensed. A restroom for the sick is provided with beds and care and assistance are administered by the dispensary staff.

NSS UNIT - JNTUHCEM

The College has got sanctioned for the NSS unit by the University since the inception of the college. The student volunteers and NSS Program Officer Sri. R. Durga Rao is very much active and shows interest in voluntary services. The student volunteers daily to water the plants planted during Haritha Haram, conducted by Telangana State.  They also conduct special camps, blood donation camps, Swach Bharat programs, Social Awareness camps, etc. regularly.

SPORTS FACILITY

The sprawling campus around the college with lush greenery also is used for various sports activities by the students. In addition to it, the playgrounds of Singareni are utilized by the students for regular practice in various sports and games. This enables them to remain fit and healthy and actively participate in various events and bring laurels to the college.

LIBRARY

The College has a spacious, well-equipped library catering to the needs of avid learners. The infrastructural facilities like 24255 Volumes and  2115  titles and had an annual subscription of  31 national and  International  Journals, 12 Magazines, and 10 newspapers for all the streams of  Engineering students. A Barcode system, library furniture, a Xerox machine, and NEWZENLIB software are available. A Separate digital Library is maintained which has online subscriptions for the top-rated Digital Libraries and Journals which include ACM, Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, etc.  A collection of Previous year's question papers and Question bank is provided for students. There is a Book Bank exclusively for S.C. and S.T. students and the library remains open till 7.00 PM in the evening for the benefit of students, there is a separate section for donated copies in the college library.
