Established in 2002 under the umbrella of the Trichur Educational Trust established by the Catholic Archdiocese of Trichur, Jyothi Engineering College (JEC) is a leading engineering college in Kerala.  The Archdiocese of Trichur has a 150-year history of excellent education. St. Patrick Thomas High School was founded in 1889. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur has been one of the major higher education centers in Kerala since 1919. This institution predates all colleges in Kerala and is now one of the largest and most renowned colleges of arts and sciences in the state.

Jyothi Engineering College is Affiliated with the University of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and the University of Calicut and is Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Infrastructure and Facilities:

Jyothi Engineering College has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Jyothi Engineering College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. Computer Center: 

The Computer Center (CC) provides a centralized computing infrastructure for staff and students. CC is responsible for computers, printers, scanners, LCD projectors, the campus network, and the Internet. CC currently has approximately 210 desktop computers, two leased 300 Mbps Internet lines, and one NMEICT 20 Mbps line. Students and staff have access to wired and wireless Internet. WiFi is available in both hostels. 

Hostels: 

Two campus houses, Santhome for gentlemen and Marian for ladies are maintained by dedicated Catholic priests and nuns. Loving discipline, tasty cuisine at moderate prices, and clean rooms with modern toilets are the hallmarks of Jyothi Hostels. Hostels use a sharing system to keep the hostel clutter-free. The canteen committee decides on the menu. A chapel is available for Catholic students to attend daily Mass, prayer meetings, etc. Absolute silence is expected when studying in dormitories. They must stay in their own room or study. Play facilities are available in the hostel complex itself. 

Transportation: 

The campus is 30km from the city of Thrissur and the college provides transportation for students and staff. There are 20 buses supporting the movement of about 600 students from different places. There is an exclusive van for executives. 

Auditorium: 

Our college auditorium offers the public the opportunity to hear and enjoy performances on special occasions. This is where the whole Jyothi family meets. The college has an auditorium with an area of ?? 725 m2 in the western college block. It can accommodate more than 1,000 people. 

Canteen: 

The canteens are an important part of college life as they are the only place where most students stay. There is a canteen on campus near the administration building, which is more frequented by hostel residents looking for a change from hostel food than casual visitors. The canteen is open from 8:00 a.mMonday to 5 p.m. every working day including Saturday. Our canteen offers hygienic food at reduced prices for students, employees, and visitors to the college A wide range of South Indian dishes is available. Meals are available at lunchtime. Students receive morning tea, snacks, lunch, and evening tea. The canteen is open around the clock to meet the needs of students. A full breakfast and lunch are available, with a small selection of dishes in the evening. The prices are also affordable for students.

Seminar rooms: 

Jyothi Engineering College offers air-conditioned and well-appointed seminar rooms called "Decennial Hall and Insight Hall" with the latest digital sound system, LCD projectors, podiums, etc. The academic block is 72m2 with a capacity of 100 people. The seminar room can be used for activities such as seminars, guest lectures, cultural activities, staff meetings, and other events. Each faculty also has seminar rooms that are ideal for student seminars and other faculty events. It also includes LCD projectors and a whiteboard. 

Playground: 

The role of physical activity such as athletics, games, strength training, etc. will be conducive to personal development and good health. We have excellent facilities to play different sports and games with good standards and it will be a good experience for our students. All of these facilities are easily accessible to the students of the college complex. There are many facilities to motivate our students and help them stay fit and healthy.
