Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science began its journey of excellence in the year 1997 as a self-financial Engineering college under Shalini Vidya Samithi, Karimnagar with a vision of providing technical education to the rural students by our esteemed chairman Sri. Juvvadi Sagar Rao Garu. JITS is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.

Library is an integral part of JITS started at the time of its inception in 1997. The prime objective of the library is to support in fulfilling the information need of the parent institute and build and preserve the collection of specialized books in various fields. The library is the Treasure Trove and provides the fertile Source of Information to the Engineers. Recognizing the role of the library, it was set up as one of the key divisions of the Institute. The collection is mainly strong in engineering and technology, however good information sources on humanities and social sciences are also available.

Language Lab

The four skills of learning, speaking, reading, and writing have to be practiced regularly for empowering communication skills. Thus, the language lab at JITS offers an inclusive result orientation and effectively enriches the English language learning process.

Computer Senter 

Jyothishmathi Institute of Technological Sciences has a centralized computer center with an area of 150 sqm with adequate computing facility, accessible to all students and faculty for teaching-learning, research, development, and other academic activities. The center is equipped with 100 computers, 2 printers, and an internet facility.

E-Class Rooms

The College is equipped with e-classrooms to enable students with world-class teaching experience via audio-visual teaching methodologies. Our College has introduced an active learning atmosphere through the state of art e-classroom facilities making it one of the top engineering colleges in Telangana. Seminar Hall 

Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science has one air-conditioned seminar hall with an area of 252 Sqm, in addition to three other seminar halls with an area of 139 Sqm each, all fully equipped with LCD Projector, audio and video equipment, computers with internet connectivity and Public address system with good acoustics. These seminar halls are utilized for Co-curricular activities such as Guest lectures, workshops, and seminars.

ATM

The college provides round a clock ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) facility both for the students and staff members so that they can do withdrawals of money at any point in time without hassles. It is located at a point where it is easily accessible to every individual to cater to the needs of their monetary transactions.

Health Senter 

Medical care and first-aid are available in the campus Health Centre, attended by a Doctor and Medical Practitioner. General medicines are made available in the center. First-aid boxes with all accessories are kept in laboratories and other strategic locations. A full-fledged Hospital at Karimnagar is available which can be reached within 10 minutes. The health center refers all emergency cases to a hospital in Karimnagar and the same is informed to the parents immediately.

Transportation

Jyothishmathi Institute of Technological Sciences is located at Nustulapur Village, Thimmapur Mandal Karimnagar District. JITS is about 12KMs away from Karimnagar town. However, to enable the faculty and staff to commute easily to and from the college, the institute has made necessary transport arrangements. It provides college buses for the transportation of faculty and staff members.

Canteen

The college canteen plays a vital role in promoting healthy foods and creating a college culture of healthy eating. The college canteen is fairly new and provides enough delicious food at affordable rates. JITS has the facility of spacious, clean, and hygienic canteen that caters to the taste of all students.

Playground

The institution promotes sports and game activities to organize various events like sports meets and FEST etc. To support and encourage the students to participate in sports and games at various intercollege, Intra college, district, and state-level competitions. The institution has a permanent cricket net for practice cricket. Separate indoor games for shuttle, caroms, and chess are provided for students’ encouragement. The students of the colleges are utilizing the facilities daily for their physical health and recreation. Right from its inception our students have participated and brought laurels to our institutions in sports conducted at the university, district, state, and national level tournaments.
