1. Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences offers full-time undergraduate courses in B.A., B.Sc, and B.Com for three years. The number of approved intake students varies from 320 for B.Com (Hons.) to 64 for B.Sc (Hons.) and 32 for B.A. (Hons).
2. The candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (ST) category and have completed 10+2 from the Odisha Board or any other recognized board are eligible to apply.
3. To be eligible for a B.Sc, they should have opted Science stream in 10+2, and for a B.Com, they should have taken Economics/Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects in 10+2.
4. They must have obtained at least 35% aggregate marks or a C+ grade.
5. The selection of candidates is done based on the marks scored in 10+2 examinations.
6. There is no entrance test for the students for admission to UG courses and seats are allotted on a first come –first serve basis.
1. The institute offers postgraduate level courses namely M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, and M.Phil. with various specializations to choose from. The approved intake of students for M.Sc courses is 80 students.
2. The ST candidates should have passed B.A. Honors, B.Sc, or bachelor's degree in Economics, Commerce, or Geography for getting admission to M.A., M.Sc, and M.Com respectively with at least 45% marks.
3. The candidates are selected based on the marks scored by them in the entrance test conducted by the University.
4. The question paper comprises 100-mark objective-type questions based on the following pattern: 50% Subject-related, 10% Tribal Studies related, 20% General English, and 20% General Knowledge.
