Kamalam College of Arts and Science is a recognized institution, established with the great efforts of Sri Kamalam Educational Trust on the auspicious day, 5th of August, 2009 at the outskirts of Udumalpet. It is affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. The College started with the degree courses- B.Com(CA), BCA, B.Sc(CS), BBM(CA), and B.Sc(Mathematics) with the strength of 35 students. The prime objective is to cater to higher educational needs and to make the students expose their hidden skills, knowledge, leadership qualities, personal talents, and cultural interests. This prestigious institution at present offers 12 UG courses, 4 PG courses, and 2 Research Programmes in Arts and Science. Our institution is situated on Pollachi – Udumalpet Highway, as such it is very convenient for parents/guardians seeking education for their children in this localities. The College has a well-maintained spacious campus with artistic and imposing buildings, playgrounds, and well-grown trees along the boundary providing an atmosphere for good health and education.

Library:

Our Library was started in the year 2009 with 500 Volumes of subject books. it was shifted to the new building “KCAS INFORMATION CENTER” located in the heart of the college campus with an area of 1800 sq. ft with a fully ventilated stack and reading room separately. total of 6000 books and 25 magazines and journals are available in the library. All the members of the library are allowed to borrow books under the following conditions.

Sports Facilities:

The college offers ample facilities for sports and games. The college kabaddi teams have been proving their excellence in various – State, National, and District Levels competitions. The institution ensures the participation of students in intra Class and inter-institutional sports competitions. Our ground is used for multi purposes, well-maintained kabaddi ground, we can offer Kabaddi classes as a credit course.

Cafe/Mess Facility:

Kamalam Institutions has a spacious canteen at each of its campuses. At the canteen, dishing out menus is highly popular among students as well as staff. Students enjoy their food in a clean, well-maintained, aesthetic, and appetizing atmosphere. Most people fondly remember their college canteen as one of their life’s high points. The kitchen staff takes care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food at our campus canteens. A variety of hygienic food and snack items includes South and North, Indian Meals.

Transport:

The college provides transportation for students residing outside the campus. The Institutions have 10 buses for the benefit of the day’s scholar students and staff. The transport facility is available from various places in Pollachi, Udumalpet to the institute on all working days.

Candidates selected for admission will be intimated by post. They should appear for an interview along with their Parent/guardian and also bring the following original certificates.

One set of photocopies (xerox) of all the certificates. Admission is subject to verification of the statement of marks by the Director of Government Examinations and if the mark sheet is found to be bogus, the admission is liable for cancellation and strict legal action will be taken. Students from other Universities/ Boards should also obtain an eligibility certificate from Bharathiar University.
